Connecting a provider
Tap Add your first provider, or the + button, choose a provider and paste a credential from your own account. Each provider needs a specific kind of key: OpenAI and Claude need admin keys, OpenRouter needs a management key, fal.ai needs a key with Admin scope, and ElevenLabs needs a key with User read access. DeepSeek, Kimi and Runway use their normal API keys. The provider list shows where to find each one.
TypeSafe has no balance API, so it uses a console session instead. In desktop Chrome, sign in at console.typesafe.ai/settings/billing, open Developer Tools, go to Network, reload, select the billing request and copy its Cookie request header. Paste that into the app. The session expires after a while; reconnect TypeSafe when it does.
Trying the demo
Tap Try a demo to look around with clearly labeled sample balances and no credentials. Tap Exit demo to go back. The demo does not connect to any provider and does not fill your widgets.
Removing a provider
Tap a connected provider, open Manage connection (the key icon) and choose Remove. This also deletes its local history, saved reports and alert settings. Replacing a credential clears these too, so two accounts never mix. Revoking the key at the provider is a separate step in the provider's own settings.
Provider details and history
Tap a provider for 7, 30 or 90 day charts and a list of dated balance changes. Each successful refresh saves a snapshot on your phone, and viewing history makes no API requests. After seven days, only the last snapshot of each UTC day is kept, for up to 90 days. Changes can include top-ups, refunds and adjustments, so they are not verified spending.
Alerts and runway
Set a low-balance threshold for a provider, or a monthly spending threshold for OpenAI and Claude, and allow notifications when asked. Alerts are checked during normal refreshes and notify once, then stay quiet until the balance recovers or the monthly period resets. Your phone controls when background refreshes run.
Runway is an estimate of days left, based on decreases seen over the last seven days. It needs at least three samples over 24 hours before it appears.
Model usage reports
For OpenAI, Claude and OpenRouter, tap Load report to fetch the last 30 completed UTC days. Reports are kept on your phone and never fetched automatically. All three show token counts per model, and OpenRouter also shows cost per model. OpenAI reports cover text generation only. These are reporting requests, not AI calls, though each provider's normal request limits apply. Other providers show balance history only.
Widgets and refresh
Add AI Balance from your home screen's widget picker. The operating system decides when background refreshes happen, so open the app or tap the widget's refresh button when you want a fresh number.
OpenAI and Claude show monthly spending rather than a remaining balance. ElevenLabs shows remaining character credits. Currency conversions are approximate.
